The national standard “Stainless Steel seamless steel pipe for pressure induction of nuclear power plant instruments” passed the approval smoothly

On January 9-10, the 2022 Annual meeting and standard Review meeting of the Steel Pipe Technical Committee of the National Steel Standardization Technical Committee was successfully held in Haining City, Zhejiang Province. The National Standards Committee issued the plan project “Nuclear power plant instrument pressure with stainless steel seamless pipe” (20204767-T-605), edited by Zhejiang Zhongda New Materials Co., LTD., after 1 year and 10 months of hard work by the preparation team, successfully passed the approval of this standard review meeting, becoming the first Zhongda new materials led and compiled by the national standard.

 

The meeting was attended by 130 representatives from 60 units of the steel pipe Technical Committee of the National Steel Standards Committee, steel pipe manufacturers, design and research institutes, steel pipe users and third-party supervision and testing institutions, and the review meeting was conducted online and offline simultaneously, presided over by Dong Li, secretary-general of the steel pipe Technical Committee. In addition, Zhongda New Materials also invited China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., LTD., China General Nuclear Power Group Co., LTD., Qinshan Nuclear Power Operation Company and other industry experts to participate in the review meeting.

 

At the standard approval meeting, Chen Xiaofu, deputy general manager of Zhongda New Materials, introduced in detail the project background and standard preparation of “Stainless Steel seamless steel pipe for pressure induction of nuclear power plant instruments”. Subsequently, the participating experts conducted questions and answers on the application scope of the standard, citing documents, technical requirements, test methods, inspection procedures, quality certificates and other chapters, and put forward suggestions. A total of 18 adopted opinions were put forward in this review meeting, and after modification and improvement, the standard preparation is more scientific and rigorous and has operability.

 

The review meeting also discussed the technical level of the standard, from the chemical composition, non-metallic inclusion requirements, grain size, outer diameter wall thickness deviation, surface roughness requirements, hardness test, flaring/flattening test, water pressure test, non-destructive testing and other 9 indicators show that the standard has advanced technology.

At the meeting, the leadership of the metallurgical industry Information Standard Research Institute especially affirmed that the editor-in-chief unit can invite the upstream design institute and downstream owners involved in product technical standards to participate in the approval of this standard, which reflects the importance and practice of Zhongda New Materials in co-construction, sharing and win-win, and improves the adoption of the standard in the upstream and downstream industries.

 

The experts and representatives at the meeting passed the national standard of “Stainless Steel Seamless Steel pipe for Nuclear Power Plant Instrument Pressure Induction” edited by Zhongda New Material, and unanimously agreed that the national standard of “Stainless Steel Seamless steel pipe for Nuclear Power Plant instrument pressure induction” is the advanced level at home and abroad. The project has entered the stage of submitting to the National Standards Committee for approval.
